Aussie Hip Hop - Goes Cool Old School

I have to admit that I have never been a big fan of Australian Hip-Hop but this album by      http://fundamentalz.bandcamp.com/album/fresh-like-86 took me back to the good old days, when Tupac still walked the earth. It was such a pleasant surprise with funky easy beats, smacking lyrics and hooking melody lines that took me right back to era of the mix tape when music was fun, uncomplicated and made you move.

Nookie Girl - Hippie Chic

It was so refreshing to have live music open a show at Fashion week last Wednesday night, and bring a whole new dimension to a week that had become just a bunch of coat hangers stomping down a boring runway. The lovely Nikita from Nookie found inspiration in all things hippie and modernised the Love Power and flower power era.
There were great separates to choose from with pretty prints and sparkly night wear, I've got to say though one of my favourite's in the show would be the beautiful bangles designed by her sister Zoe that matched the prints in the clothes. All in all a fun show with great pieces for Summer 2010/2011 get out there and buy them before they run off the shelves.

Nothing To be Silent About - HOT PICK OF THE MONTH - FOR THE GUY'S

I consider myself a passionate purveyor of cool men's shoes, and I got a little excited when I  happened upon these shoes at uber cool fashion store Paris Texas the other day.

Spider man anyone? Black leather lace up's never looked so good, and if there is such a thing as love at first sight then I think I just experienced it. Now don't be afraid these shoes can be worn dressed up with a blazer, shirt and dark denim jeans to a social event or dressed down with pair of slacks, v neck t-shirt and a modern leather jacket. Rest assured it'll be an awesome addition to any guys wardrobe and definitely a conversation starter.

Rachel Gilbert for Dress Me Darling

This year I have the pleasure of attending a few choice shows at Rosemount Australian fashion Week to blog for Dress Me Darling boutique ( Crown Street- Surry Hills & Balmain)

It was a pleasure attending the Rachel Gilbert show my first for the week, as the light's dimmed and the music started I had to remind myself that I was there to work and not to get too lost in the show. Beautiful Dreamy and Blingy dresses one after the other they came down the runway, something for the red carpet, winter cocktail party and even for the modern bride. There were a few pieces that seemed out of place but that didn't mean they weren't viable for any girl's wardrobe. All in all I predict she's one designer to watch in the future because she can only get better.
So for all you Dress me Darling fans and fashion junkies here's a few of my favourite snaps from the Rachel Gilbert show and even one of Napoleon Perdis resplendent in a denim jacket, mirrored sunglasses and clutching a Birkin no less.

P.S. maybe a new trend to watch Napoleon and another Sydney male socialite both wearing 2 watches,any thoughts?
