One Teaspoon raises its flag on Crown St- Part 1

One Teaspoon has opened the doors to its amazing flagship store on Crown St in Surry Hills. Walking into the store you instantly get an idea of the vision and point of view of the brand and its design aesthetic. The store beautifully utilised every room of the corner terrace it has taken over, and each room has a different theme and colour scheme and plays host to an array of intriguing and eye catching props.

There are skulls scattered around of varying sizes and colours from silver to gold and black which I absolutely love, but my favourite room of course is the white room upstairs. the walls are mounted with antlers and there is a vintage leather saddle propped on a clothing rack, and in the corner a skull with horns on an antique white chest and draped on the other end of the clothing rack old ropes from a ship. Anyone that knows me will know these are definitely a few of my favourite things.

I'd recommend anyone who wants a visual treat and some creative inspiration or girls wanting to add something with an edge to your wardrobe pop in for a visit. You cant miss it it's right opposite the Trinity Hotel on Crown St in Surry Hills.

KIDO - Suprises for little kids and big ones to!

I love interior decorating and mixing and matching different era's and designer with op shop finds, at the moment I've being searching high and low for a vintage deer head or antlers and anything like it. Imagine my surprise when I saw these as I was walking past KIDO an amazing children's store on Crown Street.
They're made by a US designer and are absolutely amazing deers heads with a difference all made by hand and kid friendly, if a dear head isn't your cup of tea then maybe these soft hanging fishbowl's might take your fancy. This is most definitely not just a store for little kids but sure to please the big kid in you.

The Hideout - my kind of refuge

Five way's plays host to my kind of hideaway, The Hideout is one of the new crop of cool/funky wine bars that has taken Sydney by storm. Conveniently located near the big roundabout on Glenmore road in Sydney's Paddington, it brings a new vibe to the strip of cafes and restaurants that have been slowly growing around Five Ways. Cosy with a laid back edgy decor The Hideout offers a great wine list, easy grazing nibbles and awesome coffee by Campos. Depending on your wine choice it can be bought by the glass, a carafe ( half a bottle ) or a full bottle and there's a beautiful selection of wines to choose from.
Pop in and grab a glass of wine and some nibbles or sit outside sipping a coffee watching the very cool pedestrian traffic ha ha ha.
